i feel like they’re trying to make it relatable in some way by putting it as a generational difference situation cuz it seems like all the millennials(parents) are conservative whereas the kids are more open minded? they do this in the hedwig episode too i think alice and some of the parents where heavily against the kids doing the musical because its too cheryl calls them queerphobic and they go to strike or something like that lol cant remember well but yeah iagree its a lil confusing
